I received one of your orchids as a gift from a friend and unfortunately it had white cottony substance on it that started to spread. I tried to wash it off several times, but it keeps coming back and is only getting worse. The plant has now also lost a leaf and there is no new growth. I didn't want to embarrass my friend to let them know about the plant, but thought that you should know in case your other orchids also have this problem I don't have any other plants in my house, so know that the orchid already had this problem when it was given to me.
