Good and yummy Japanese food, especially those set meal. Their prices are reasonable. The amount of food is generous. Most of the fry food (prawn, fish, vegetables, chicken, etc) are well marinated. Free serving of pickles and plain water!!!! Very difficult to find restaurant NOT CHARGING for plain water. Customers service is excellent.....keep it up and maintain the food standards and prices!

Had the signature don and spicy white fish don. The chawanmushi was served in a broken and dirty bowl. The white fish don only had 3 pieces of fish tempura and 1 egg. Like what other reviewers said, the quantity is miserable small, the amount of rice is also small. In terms of value for money, the signature don is more worthwhile. The tempura has too much batter and it is very oily. So the meal taste cloying. The taste of the batter is sweet and salty. They did not serve the pickles until we had to ask for it. There are other places that serve better tempura at similar prices.

My Tendon taste great. Worth the price I'm paying. Something special too, a baby corn tempura...it's a first for me.

Had the giga and mega bowl combo set. They are average tasting at best. Tempura is not as tasty as I thought it would be. The portion is damn small.

the fish is tasteless but soft and scent free. 4* rice a tat too moist. 4* all the vegetarian tempura were excellent. 5* chawamushi too salty but the shrimp was fresh n tangy. 4* shrimp tempura was the usual calcium soaked type. 3* overall a happy bowl

I've had several positive experiences at Akimitsu with their Signature Tendons before. I tried the Wagyu Beef Tendon today since it looked really good. However, I was disappointed with the way it was presented. It looked very sparse for the price of 18.90. I could look past the appearance if it tasted good. The flavour was alright, but I felt that the quality of the beef was very mediocre. It was chewy and trying to bite a piece took quite a bit of pulling. The egg was runny, but other than that I felt that I did not get my money's worth. I was left feeling like I needed to eat something else to feel satisfied. On top of that, today's tendons were greasy. I'd probably stick to their Signature Tendons in the future.

Fast service. A nice place for tempura don. Offered a free flow of chawanmushi, miso soup, beansprouts and pickles. They offered mix grain rice for healthier choice at no extra cost. We ordered gyu don and their signature don. Generous portion. With 2 cold tea, total bill was an affordable Sgd37 for 2 pax.

Ordered their in-house special; lightly fried veggie & prawn tempura with rice and miso soup and also ramen with soup. All had lots of MSG. About 2hrs.later, had to drink lots of water to flush out. No wonder Akimitsu is not under the list of " good Japanese restaurants list in Vivo City". When I reached home, had to drink our home-made pineapple enzyme to detox
