The precious historic museum of sea salt making in Japan!! Also nice view of Setonaikai sea.

Go search for, and dig out, clams and mussels from the oceans edge and tidal pools, which is more fun than you think. Search online for information on season timing and location. Take along shade and a large bucket to bring back your catch. The tide comes in and out but there's always a good spot for digging up the elusive shellfish. Watch others to figure out the knack. There's plenty of parking available and a separate beach for other water sports like kite boarding and wind surfing.

Lovely park with great children's play equipment and activities to ensure little ones don't get bored. The walk around the pond is lovely, or you could hire a paddleboat. In some places shade feels limited.
