This is the WORST BMV in the Akron, Ohio area. You get different answers depending on who you speak with, the clerks are rude and unprofessional. I highly suggest going to the Stow BMV where people know the regulations.

Excellent service! Good experience! Got both D / L & tags. Very nice, kind, patient, efficient staff. (Even though eye test machine so cold, it kept fogging up. I had come in from 80⁰ outside.) Many thanks!

This is the best one to go to in the Akron area. They are actually nice at least the people I've dealt with there. They don't stand around looking at you for 10 minutes before they call the next number they seem to actually care you're there spending your time and hard earned money to things done!

Post Covid lines were long and the air in the hallway was off so even without a mask it was stuffy. Once inside the people behind the desk were kind and efficient as always. This is the best license bureau.

The line to get into the actual bmv was so long I was waiting in a line outside of it inside the indoor plaza entrance for about 30 minutes, once inside its a game of sitting in chairs and benches and continually moving down a line until you're the next one to be called up. Doesn't seem much better than taking a number as far as covid prevention goes. The customers there mostly seemed to pull their masks off to talk to the clerk through the plexiglass pretty much defeating the purpose of wearing them. This far into the pandemic it's annoying to see so many people not understand how to do things with a mask on, but that's not the BMVs fault as they have to serve whoever comes in. But there was one woman working who kept her mask pulled down under her mouth for what seemed like the whole hour or so that I was there, and she also seemed unnecessarily rude and condescending, sort of scoffing at people for not knowing everything needing on the paperwork ahead of time. The other women working that day were not like that, they were thoroughly helpful and kind to people. Probably not going to return to this location in the near future, I'll try the Wolf Ledges or Tallmadge locations instead, and hopefully have a better experience there.
