An amazing school. Lessons here feel more like an indulgence in enjoyable discussions, making your path to university a lot easier than you might have expected. Albemarle has all the stuff that could make you say ‘that was one of the best experiences of my life’! I’ve achieved the grades I wanted and will now be going to university in London, which means that I’ll still be close to the place that I’m sure I will miss for a long time.

I attended Albemarle College this year to retake my biology and geography exams. From the very start the teachers and staff were very friendly, making me feel very welcomed. The teaching was fantastic, engaging and has helped me achieve 2 A*'s while preparing me well for university. The teachers and staff always offer support which made this year very stress free. I would highly recommend this college to anyone thinking about resitting their exams.

I went to Albemarle for two years and had the privilege of meeting the most amazing people. I made some lifelong friends and felt so supported by all the teachers and staff members. The small group sized classes are ideal in reinforcing focus as well as engaging in compelling group discussions. Most importantly, the teachers are always there to help guide the students as well as hear out any of their concerns, to ensure that students achieve their full potential-not just academically.

Albemarle Independent college is an institution of learning that is built on 3 core values clearly shown through its staff: determination, hard work and consistency. These values have made this college stand out from so many others in London (in my opinion), because within 2 years, I was one of the many students who managed to achieve excellent grades within the respective subjects that I chose to learn. For me, studying Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics simultaneously was relatively relaxed (mostly due to the overlapping concepts and skills), but it was challenging as Chemistry is conceptually challenging and Biology's content is just too much!! Anyway, I still managed to get excellent grades within these respective subjects not only because I embodied the core values that they represent, but through the teachers' unique approaches in supporting students throughout these two years. Additionally, the teachers' approach of supporting and teaching students has helped me develop more as a person, especially Beverley Mellon, my curriculum manager, who helped me to overcome my struggles and strengthened my confidence throughout the two years; this had further helped me secure various voluntary work in different charities involving children and adults with disabilities by working as a mentor during my gap year. Overall, studying at Albemarle Independent College has been an amazing experience for me and I highly recommend it to those transitioning from GCSEs into A levels.

Our son attended Albemarle for his 2 year A level studies. From the interview until the very last day we felt he was in the right place. We always received good amount of feed back and follow up from the school and we were always aware that he was getting good guidance about his motivation, choices and actions.
