If this place is as good as the reviews indicate, maybe they had an off day when we tried it. It honestly was on par with any fast Mexican food place I've ever been to. Food was bland and didn't taste homemade, but did taste like every other place serving frozen Mexican entrees from a semi truck delivery. I debated whether to give two stars but I'm giving them a break due to lockdowns etc. If this place ranks 4.6 overall, maybe this is what locals are used to. We weren't impressed.

The tamales are a little pricey for what you would expect to pay for a dozen, but definitely not lacking on the filling. They will fill you up for sure. Packed full of flavor. Their burritos are pretty good as well and reasonably priced for what you get. Also, the service was really good and the order came out pretty quick.
The wait time is not bad given their popularity. You call in your order once you are there and they bring it out to you. It's always worth any wait time. The tamales are better than any I've had. Everything is delicious, warm, freshly made.. I can't say enough good things about their food and friendly service.
What can I say? This place was beyond excellent! They had been on my radar for quite some time and I couldn'tleave Albuquerque without getting my fix. They've been at it since 1929....just let that sink in. Got tamales and posole. Best I'd ever had. Legit New Mexican food! I cannot wait to get back for more. They are take out only and that is the way it goes. Absolutely worth your time and money.
Great food, & individual delivering the goods very friendly and customer service is great. The individuals answering & receiving orders needs better etiquette.
