Popped in for a bite on a Friday lunchtime, not too busy, managed to get a table by the fireplace. We had the really good Thai style muscles from the specials menu board. There was a decent offering for vegetarians on the main menu, and well-chilled bottled Adnams Ghostship which went down a treat. Mains were followed by the 'very good' mixed fruit crumble, every bit as very good as aptly described by the staff. The sticky toffee pud was also very both those things. The meal was well priced, and the service good so the only thing to keep this from being a five star review was a very dirty dog (fabric door stop) by the fireplace and a mirror above the fireplace which looked as though the fire had been lit beneath it, which clearly it had not. It was dirty. Also, some self-adhesive plastic hooks with bits of plastic hanging off them were stuck to the mantlepiece to no good effect. This area would be so easy to tidy up to prevent it being a distraction from the otherwise great dining experience.

What a find. Small restaurant with a deli adjoining. A good limited menu and excellent wines. Small team who work well together and deliver a great product at competetive prices with a friendly smile
Went there for lunch today. Both our meals were brilliant. I had the roasted salmon with hollandaise and my partner had the South Indian curry. They were superb. Staff were great and the attention to COVID was good too. Thank you. Highly recommend.
Delicious & beautifully presented lunch reasonably priced, friendly staff..Really great on a winter's day..
Very friendly, good service and a varied menu.... Ate there 2 days running, excellent tasty food.. Recommend the Kedgeree, prawn chow mein and dressed crab salad.. Will definitely return..
