The “AlexandriaU-CRCICA Pre-Moot and Conference” is an international legal education event organized under the auspices of Alexandria University and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). The AlexandriaU-CRCICA Pre-Moot is an international arbitration moot competition and a “Sponsor Pre-Moot” for the international long-standing moot competitions of “the Willem C. Vis and the Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moots”, which are held annually in the Republic of Austria and Hong Kong SAR. An international conference on the fields of International Commercial Arbitration and International Trade Law will be held alongside the Competition, aiming to spread the notions of Arbitration among students and young practitioners. The Event is planned to take place in the iconic Bibliotheca Alexandrina on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea in the Egyptian cosmopolitan city of Alexandria, the pearl of the Mediterranean and the beautiful land of history and civilization, during the first half of March 2020. Holding the AlexandriaU-CRCICA in the city of Alexandria enables teams from the Middle East, Africa, and the Mediterranean to have an unparalleled experience without traveling too far. And it gives the teams from Europe, Asia, and the Americas the opportunity to experience the unique Middle Eastern culture and the wonderful Egyptian civilization. They would have the opportunity to well prepare for the Vis Moots through the lectures that will take place on the sidelines of the Pre-Moot. In addition to pleading in the presence of highly experienced arbitrators, including some of those who are judging in the Vis Moots.
