I’m sure this organization is great but do not expect them to pick up your donations at your house. I echo all the pickup statements in these google reviews. I put my items (2 trash bags, a small box, and a vacuum-nothing too laborious to take) outside on the sidewalk in front of my address at 6:30 the morning of my confirmed pickup date. Labeled, out in the open, made the instructions very clear on my request where the items would be. At 3 PM, the items were still sitting outside so I called to see when they’d be by and was told that the driver said he couldn’t find the donation items. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very nice and asked if I’d like to reschedule but I just rented a car and took the items to Goodwill instead, as I needed to get rid of the items this week and it was too late to schedule a pickup from another donation site. So if you’re going to schedule a pickup, I guess you need to put the items directly in the middle of the street so the driver can find them...

Great place to drop clothing, appliances and books. Very efficient and caring about where to send it. I. have dropped off 3 car loads of items over the last month and everything was perfect and I got my receipts emailed back to me the same day. I will use them again.

Scheduled a pickup for today. I was up at 5:00am taking everything outside. Never showed up. Tried calling, but no one answers. Finally, emailed asking if they were still coming. They told me the pickup was “unsuccessful,” but I could schedule again a week later. I doubt I would have heard from them had I not reached out. Don’t offer a service if you do not intend to follow through. I will have to find elsewhere to donate. I can’t drag everything outside eacht week in hopes they might show up.**UPDATE** The organization reached out and scheduled a new pickup for Friday and apologized for missing the initial pickup.

These people are obviously running a scam! Their website says I'll receive a tax receipt. Not true. When I asked about, some woman took my information and said a tax receipt would be emailed to me. It wasn't! All my emails to them have been ignored and phone calls unanswered. Nobody should donate to these scammers!

Do not use if you need/want reliable scheduling. I scheduled a pick up on December 10th for the next available window, December 23rd. Waited 13 days for my scheduled pick-up to come, I got up at 5:50 am to have 10 boxes of donations outside by 7 am as they instruct, labeled everything as instructed... and no one came to pick everything up. I had to load everything back up so it wouldn't get rained on or stolen, had to find a way to transport my stuff to Goodwill on Dec 23rd, instead of getting ready for Christmas. When I asked what happened the clerk (with stereotypical monotonous IDGAF attitude) told me they \didn't pick up in my area\ which is not true because then she later said that the driver came to my address but didn't see my belongings. (Also, if you don't pick up in that area, then don't schedule pick-ups in that area. It's a residential area in DC. You pick up in DC. Please explain why you don't pick up here??) I asked why no one called me, and she said \they didn't do that.\ The driver clearly was not at the correct address because everything was outside where I specified it would be and labeled. The clerk then said they could eschedule me but they'd have to send me to a different pickup area.\ I'm sorry, what? You want me to schlep 10 boxes of stuff somewhere else because your driver didn't come to the right place but couldn't be bothered to take 10 seconds to call when I took an hour to load everything outside (then another hour to load everything back inside), after giving me a bs excuse about you not coming to a residential area in DC (but still allowing the scheduled pick-up but not bothering to call for 13 days ahead of time to clarify that you don't pick up in the area - if that's actually true...)? The hassle is not worth it. So incredibly frustrating. Donate elsewhere and save the aggravation.
