All Stitched Up Embroidery

Wanting to bring the world to my wonderful two grandchildren, who are in lockdown on Van Island’s West Coast, I designed a creative project based on my test estimates of the cultures and nations of my dna (and thus some likely to also feature in their dna). I scouted the world for gifts for them from those cultures and countries, as well as getting patches denoting the flags of the countries of my estimated ancestry. I included the crest of the United Nations, as I did not want it to be nationalist. To reinforce the fact that we should all also be citizens of the world and protect our planet, I designed a message to that effect and needed to find an embroidery company to custom make the two patches. An internet search brought up “All Stitched Up” located in Kitsilano, Vancouver, not far from where I live. I liked the company’s name, and after a call to its owner,, Cheryl, I knew I had come to the right place. Cheryl was most helpful, could make the patches for me— and said she could also post them to my grandchildren. We had a text chat about colors, wording etc. and viola. I was delighted. The inspiring patches will soon be making their way to the two young citizens of the world, S Fuller Vancouver.
