Unprofessional, unorganized staff. Dr Sigal very good at what he does but not worth the issues in dealing with his staff. Billing issues, will not respond to questions that I have asked repeatedly, saying they would look into it and get back to me, never did on at least 5 occasions. Stated issues to staff while there for appointment and ignored and brushed off.

Upon arrival we waited three minutes before the lady at the desk acknowledged is. She never even said “Hello”. Waited an hour and half before seeing Dr. Sigal. When he did come to the room, he noticed my son’s mask slipped about half inch down the tip of his nose. He had been having a problem with his new masks staying in place. He said he would be back and someone else would do his visual test. The employee that did the visual test was great. When Dr. Sigal came back in, he said, “For the second time, pull up your mask! Wait a second. I’ll be back.” He never came back. I had to seek out a receptionist and found the doctor was in with another patient! I would have appreciated an explanation that he would buy us on hold (again) to see another patient while his room purifier cleans the air since my son’s mask wasn’t secure. Never did he ask to provide a disposable mask or any other staff address his mask fit. After seeing Dr. Sigal for five minutes, we were done. However, I will not return for our follow up.
Was told 3 years ago I had a scratched cornea and they tried several ointments and drops but never worked. Well finally they said that the cornea needed scraping. Several test later and many appointments later they still want to do test and delay the inevitable. I just gave up and learned to live with blurred vision in one eye.
Dr. Sigal is the only eye doctor I will take my daughter to see. He is excellent! Very caring and we have never had any problems getting an appointment here. I highly recommend Allegheny Ophthalmology and Dr. Sigal if you are looking for a new eye doctor with a caring staff.
Dr. Sigal is fantastic always enjoy my visits. Very professional staff and environment. Highly recommend Allegheny Ophthalmology Associates to anyone looking for glasses, contacts, an eye exam.
