I used to not be able to be in the same room as a cat because I was so allergic. My husband and I got our first cat after getting married and finishing sublingual therapy for my allergies. Cat was just one of the things I received treatment for. They use antigens derived from whatever you show sensitivities to in testing (I had a blood test) whether it be environmental or food related and slowly introduce it to your body as a way to build immunity. Sublingual therapy changed my life and is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.

The staff is super helpful and friendly. The testing is very thorough and painless. They test and treat environmental allergies with shots or drops but specialize in food allergies.

Beware of this location as it is an ALTERNATIVE allergy testing clinic. There is a nice nurse who in a medical office that will lead you to believe that IgG testing for allergies is the standard testing method, but it is NOT. From the American Academy of Alergy Asthma as Immunology website: “ Beware of alternative allergy testing methods such as IgG testing. The AAAAI does not believe these tests are useful or effective. Contact an allergist / immunologist for appropriate testing to help you feel better and live better.” “It is important to understand that this test has never been scientifically proven to be able to accomplish what it reports to do.” “Due to the lack of evidence to support its use, many organizations, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology have recommended against using IgG testing to diagnose food allergies or food intolerances / sensitivities.” At this office you will be offered some NON FDA APPROVED drops that cost 115 a quarter that your insurance will not cover. When I visited a real allergist, they called this method a “hoax”. I wish the nurse was more transparent about this.
