Eco Watt LLP is a privately held entity registered and based in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The company is specialising in consulting, research and project implementation in the field of alternative and renewable power engineering in the Republic of Kazakhstan. EcoWatt LLP has been involved in the research of renewable energy sources (RES) for over 15 years. Our field and academic research experience in area of development of Kazakhstan RES comprise the following: • Our specialists took part in the joint programme undertaken by the Government of RoK and the UN Development Programme on wind power measurements conducted in 10 geographical areas throughout of Kazakhstan in 1997-99 and 2005-2007. Average wind speed on all of these wind areas totals 6.3 m/sec, whereas the best average wind speed available at European sites totals 5 m/sec maximum. As a result of this programme we possess detail meteorological data of all regions of Kazakhstan including Akmola region. We also have statistical data on water levels of highland rivers taken for 40 years. • We developed and patented a special wind power turbine MARED® suitable for power generation under the conditions of Jungar Gates. It is characterised by low cost and higher productivity as compared against the universal tower based wind turbines produced elsewhere in the world. Apart from Jungar Gates, the MARED® wind power turbine is also suitable for operation in 5-6 regions of Kazakhstan where the total RES potential is up to 10 thousand MW. The turbine’s commercial prototype is currently under the testing. Looking to raise finance for long-term development of huge wind and hydro energy potential of Kazakhstan. We aim to market electricity in China and Central Aisa that are characterised by fast growing enormous demand.
