Fantastic journey up the side of the mountain on the world's steepest cogwheel railway. Fantastic views on the way to the top. Get a round trip ticket which includes the cable car ride down the other side to get the best of both worlds!

Incredible train ride and nice view all the way. Nice walks at the top.
Incredible train and nice view all the way. Nice walks at the top. Very well organized, price (July 2019) - 72 CHF return, Child - 50%. On a busy day it is quicker to order tickets in advance. Otherwise you loose an hour waiting for your boarding time.
Stunning an scary, simultaneously. The scenery is fantastic, but the last third of the track looks (to somebody like me who is somehow scared of heights) positively frightening. Anyhow, not something to forget any time soon!
Must try..best experience with amazing view
No One should miss this attraction,Even the weather says it’s rainy you should go because it’s worth to see in anyway(August) it was saying rainy morning but that will change in a minute so you never know give a chance. You don’t have to buy a trip to there we bought a ticket up and down which was satisfied
Mt. Pilatus is stunning and has a perfect overlook of Luzerne and surrounding areas! The day I attended it was very cloudy and foggy which only added to the splendor. We rode a city bus to Kriens and caught the pilatus cable car from there. As we rose through the mist the view became indescribably gorgeous. From the top it feels as if you're in a different world...one floating on an ocean of clouds. 5 out of 5 for scenery. It can get pretty busy on a nice day.. lots of tour groups as well.
A must if visiting. This railway cart takes you up to Mount Pilatus. Defiantly one of my fav memories of our trip. A little pricey but definitely worth it. Make sure you time your arrival right as if you miss you window you might have to wait an hour or two for the next rail.
