I booked a Northern lights tour during my stay in Alta and Ellinor was my guide. Originally slim chances to catch the aurora but thanks to Ellinor not giving up, I was able to catch the lights. Ellinor also provided a wealth of information on both the science behind the northern lights as well as plenty of history about Finmark and Norway as a whole. I honestly had a fantastic time and could not recommend enough!

Great place to see slate worked by hand and old cottages and museum items of slate workers. You can make your own slate coffee cup coaster here.
Beautiful place, just watch out with the snow if you wanna go all the way up by car...

Good Palace tot watch the Aurora Borealis. (If it occurs, of course)
An incredible place to learn and see how the people lived and worked in past times. Also an incredible spot for Aurora chasing and photographing!
