Great place for a picnic but fills up quickly. Go across the bridge to the picnic benches away from the parking lot. Lots of great places to dip your feet in the water too. There's a great 4 miles (round-trip) hike to the falls that I highly recommend.

Good place to have a easy hiking to upper or lower Switzer fall or to bear canyon. Most of trail is under the shadow. Several water crossing is needed. The picnic area has several tables and restroom. Good to enjoy some foods after hike

I have been coming here for years I like to do this with your Falls hike but I mostly like to come here when I take drives in the rain to see how the river is Flowing sometimes it's going over the bridge to get to Switzer It's a really beautiful all year round but it looks the best when it's raining

Really nice trail but you gotta get there early so you can get parking near trailhead, otherwise the next nearest parking is 1/2 mile up steep road.

Great hike, only about 2.5 easy miles to the pools below the falls. The way back is harder and mostly uphill. Some cool ruins and trail work done over the years.

Neat picnic spot by a creek with plenty of shade. There are BBQ grills (charcoal) and picnic tables you can use. Pit toilets are on both sides of the area. Get here early as it tends to fill up fast on the weekends.

Great place to have a picnic. Plenty of table with bbq grill. Lots of tree with plenty of shade. Stream near by when in season. The site is clean with non flushing toilet. Lots of trails near by if you like to do some hiking. parking can get full on weekends with hikers hiking to Switzer fall.
