I wish I had read these reviews prior to booking. My experience was the same as most of these reviewers. I arrived at Geneva airport, luckily several hours before my bus departed. Despite the massive amount of time, I was unable to find out which bus to catch or where it would pick me up. I had to nervously loiter around all of the bus ranks and luckily I ran into some other passengers who were also looking for Altibus. We managed to find a very surly bus driver who eventually admitted that he was driving to our destination. Things were even worse on the way back. I knew that it would be tricky to find the bus, so once again I called Altibus to make sure I was waiting in the right spot. They confirmed that I was. I then asked them if the bus was on time, but they said they had no way of knowing that. I called later and they said the bus had been cancelled. I called a third time and they said they'd made a mistake, and that the bus had already left but from a different location. I ended up spending over EUR 300 to get a taxi back to the airport. They gave the same lame excuse they've given here - that they are \just a booking company\ and they can't tell you what your bus will look like, where it will meet you, or when it will arrive and depart. In other words, they will sell you a ticket on a bus but they won't tell you how, where or when you could find that bus. Good luck with that! I speak reasonable French, I was early and I stayed in touch with them by telephone but this makes no difference. The company should be closed down.

There were some issues on the way home but ..... We booked the Altibus on a return journey from Geneva Airport to St Martin de Belleville in the Three Valleys Checked in at the information desk at the airport and was told where to go and that there would be a man in a red jacket to guide us at the time the bus arrived He guided us to the bus when it arrived The bus goes to Moutiers where it offloads some passengers to other busses - so the luggage was loaded accordingly At Moutiers there was someone waiting to guide us to the correct onward bus - and enough time to grab a coffee / comfort break We were delivered to St Martin de Belleville as planned On the day of the return journey there was a LOT of snow A (non-local) bus coming up the mountain had blocked the road - and it was closed for hours (causing complete traffic chaos) We went to the local tourist office and were told that we should go to the bus stop on time (the locals said we would never get to leave!) A bus turned up (maybe it was the previous one two or three hours late) at around the planned time and we got on The driver then skilfully negotiated the ice leaving the village - despite getting stuck for a minute or so, and then onwards down a mountain road I definitely wouldn't have liked to drive on - ice/snow on the road all the way down, delivering us safely in Moutiers In Moutiers there were not busses for all - as the snow had affected all transport, but there were emergency accommodation centres set up (I think 5000 people were homeless that night) and extra trains going on to Lyon and Chambery We were lucky as there was bus going to the airport, but the real luck was having a driver who knew how to drive in the conditions to get us anywhere safely

Rude personal on the bus from Tignes, does not speak any English at all. Company should have considered to hire people with at least basic language on the routes where a lot of international tourists. We have been extortionate to pay 11.50 for no valid reason otherwise we would miss the train home.

Left stranded twice in 10 years. Phone number straight to ansaphone. Nobody to assist bus driver lied on both occasions. When I tracked down someone on the phone I was told there was nothing she could do. I had to find my own way from Tignes to Geneva. I would never use this service again as its not worth the risk of being stranded. I now use Snowdrone. Slightly more expensive but worth it for reliability.

Absolutely terrible. USE A DIFFERENT BUS SERVICE! I booked a bus for my outbound transfer (chambery airport to st Martin de Belleville) - we couldn't find the bus at the airport, no airport staff has heard of altibus?! For our return transfer a week later - we waited in exactly the right place from ten minutes before our bus was due but it did not arrive to pick us up. When I called altibus I was told we hadn't been waiting in the right place (which was absolutely not true!) and that the bus was already in moutiers. We had no help to arrange alternative transport and we're just left stranded on the side of the road (I was in the early stages of pregnancy and feeling very unwell). I wrote two altibus two weeks ago to complain and I've not had any response at all. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I do not recommend at all. There are so many reviews similar to mine!

Website is a nightmare to use ! It kept showing coding errors at checkout without explaining what was the issue. In addition there was a change required in the valley which was never mentioned during the booking process nor on the ticket. And at the airport there are no indication of which bus to take and where, we had to queue for 30min and almost miss the bus to ask staff for indication. It is the second year I am using this service and both experiences have been terrible. I won't give it a third try!

Horrible service. Highly recommend NOT using this service. There are many other transfer services and private transfers that provide a better experience. My driver was very unfriendly and drove very recklessly.

Alpbus have once again been completely useless, I regrettably gave alp the benefit of the doubt for a second year running! Last year we have to wait around for various delayed flights (not our own) to then be told they no longer had space for our bikes and luggage and was forced to wait a further 3 hours. This year I arrived, and due to our plane being 40 mins late have just had to book a private transfer as alpy have refused to get us to our destination and said they can offer no further help the staff were rude and offered no contact number for senior managment. Do not waste your time or money with this company
