Good for kids
This dance school is nothing short of amazing -it has taught all three of my children so much more than dance. Team work, dedication, respect for others to name but a few. I have seen their self esteem and confidence grow. Vanessa and her dedicated team work tirelessly to bring out the best in all children (and adults!) regardless of their ability. To help in such a small way at the time of the show is a priveledge as it is clear how much hard work and passion goes into ensuring 'that moment of glory' for your child and mine.

I went to see the end of year performance and it was incredible! The level of effort and commitment the teachers and students put in is overwhelming, I have never seen so many variations of dance in a single performance - it was truly special. Whether you're a younger student or graduating there is a friendship and bond with the teachers that is clearly visible on stage. I loved it, and would highly recommend anyone sharing the same passion and commitment for dance as they do to join!
My daughter has been coming to this dance school for the last 10 years and my other daughter was so inspired by the dance show that she then joined! Fabulous dance school which offers a diverse mix of dance styles and also the opportunity to take exams too. The recent 'Circus' dance show this year was amazing with so much talent, commitment and professionalism. Would highly recommend the dance school to others!
My four year old attends ballet classes at Alton Sports Centre and absolutely loves it. She took part in the 'Circus' show last year and was very well looked after the whole way through. I had concerns about leaving her on her own for dress rehearsals and photo shoots but my mind was put at ease and I had no need to be worried that she would be properly looked after. It was all very professional and well organised. Definitely recommend this dance company.
My daughter has been dancing at the Vanessa Golborn School of Dance since we moved into the area 10 years ago. During that time her confidence has blossomed and she has flourished in all areas of dance such as Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street, Jazz and Contemporary. Her teachers, Vanessa, Emily and Charlotte are professional, passionate and dedicated individuals who always inspire and motivate their students. I would not hesitate to recommend the Vanessa Golborn School of Dance to any potential students as a professional and dedicated dance school which constantly strives to fulfil the potential of all its students.
It has always struck me how the school consistently manages to produce not only exceptional dancers but also exceptional people, with the older girls always ready, willing and able to offer help and support to the little ones - who will one day do the same. A welcoming school that is able to cater for those who just want to have fun and stay fit (like me) but also has the technical expertise to ensure those who want a career in dance have the best chance possible - as shown by the number of students who have gone on to pursue a career in dance.
My daughter has been dancing with the school for about 6 years, I have become involved personally in the last couple of years by helping with the school show at The Anvil and enrolling for adult classes as a beginner. The school not only produces students of a very high standard (this year's show was amazing) but is great for those who just want to dance for fun, there is no pressure and the staff are so friendly. It is a pleasure being involved with them.
