We had a comprehensive home policy with glass coverage with a 50 deductible. Our patio door glass broke and filed a claim with Red River and promptly got a call from Joyce Kroeker. They sent out an company they deal with to do an estimate was close to 950 to replace only the one sealed unit within the door. They won't replace the whole door. I asked how this would affect my rates given I was making a claim. I'd apparently loose my claim free discount in the amount of 1200 over 3 years to receive a benefit. So in a nutshell I have to pay another 1200 to get my 950 covered. I paid years into a glass policy which was of absolutely zero benefit and in fact negative. Get a separate policy for glass from Peace Hills insurance and don't waste your money on Red River's glass policy. I feel so ripped off. You pay into insurance, they're happy to take your money and you get nothing in return. Consumers beware of Red River's glass policy which is useless.

Where do I start? Let’s just say after hearing all of the horror stories with insurance companies I was hesitant to go through this (although w no other choice) I did - Luc T at Red River Mutual made my life much easier by 1) being compassionate to what had happened 2) with responses , over the phone, email as well In person (back in the day when we were allowed to be around people! Haha) 3) with all of the contractors that needed to attend - he made sure someone was there when needed and just made everything seem less and to the best of his ability, uninterrupted - the circumstances behind the claim were not unique apparently within an insurance company but they (Luc in particular ) did not make me feel like I (or anyone in the family ) did anything wrong - he understood that a home based business (daycare) would be affected and didn’t want to make it worse (had to move locations for some weeks ) When payments were needed to complete repair w contractor - he made it easy and painless which was my fear from the start - so thank you Luc for making a difficult situation (for my family and I) as seemless and positive as possible given the circumstances .
