Brilliant and prompt service - one week turnaround over the summer. We organised the headstone remotely due to distance (we are based up north) and Alver Stones made the process easy and swift. Cannot rate them enough.

I first used this family run business when I lost my Sister. They were exceedingly patient and professional and their workmanship exceeded all expectations with the gold angel and lettering, which still looked like new 11 years later. My Mother recently passed away, and they removed the stone for us, advised when it could be put back due to the Winter weather. When we decided upon the wording they sent a proof and a few weeks later sent a photo of the gravestone in situe. When I visited the grave a few weeks later, I noticed my Mother's name had been spelt wrongly (which is something neither my Brother or I had picked up from the proof). I let them know and then sent an email a few days later asking if anything could be done. I was more than impressed when I received a response to say they had removed the gravestone already, amended the name and put it back. It looks amazing. Their skill and exceptional customer service cannot be praised highly enough, during what is always a sad time. This business deserves 10/10 for craftsmanship, responsiveness and caring. Thank you Rob!

After having such a brilliant service from Alver Stones Ltd family run stonemasons the first time around, we decided to go with them for an older family stone which had the letters faded on it. We tried to paint the letters ourselves but had great difficulty. My boyfriend's mum enquired months before on a price for the lettering to be redone. The price was matched and the smaller stone in front of the headstone was surprisingly done for us, too. The stone almost looks new. Once again they have exceeded expectations and made several families happy as there are a few members from the family buried on this plot. We would definately recommend this family run business to anyone who has been unfortunate enough to loose a loved one.
