This is very children friendly. The staff are delightful and helpful and even with social distancing the visit went smoothly. The inventions are wonderful and the children can touch the ones outside in the vast park. The exposition is educational for older children. Due to covid the playground was closed but there are plenty of other activities to do. We arrived at 10.30 Nd left at 3.30 having done the chateaux, lunched, wandered the park with the dovecote and seen the expo. Parking was cheap too.

Really interesting display of Leo's final living quarters and workshops with art and engineering and many of his inventions as models indoors and full size in the park and gardens. Great gardens to walk around wth cool shaded areas for hot days and open areas to get some warmth or have a picnic
Very good visit! The castle and the park are worth visiting. I particularly loved the canvas hung on trees, it was beautiful. There are several places to eat: I recommend Table du Moulin, it's very good and not expensive.
Arnaque à éviter...Tres cher et tres superficiel sans grand intérêt historique, décoratif ou architectural. Le jardin est mediocre. Le parent pauvre des monuments de la région.. VERY disappointing for the very high price you have to pay (17 euros for adult entry without guided tour), especially compared to other castles and historical places of the region. To me it is a Complete scam - you won’t learn a lot about Da Vinci and it all felt very shallow, including the decoration of the castle. Spend your time and money in other amazing places and a documentary on YouTube will tell you much more about Da Vinci and this place than actually visiting it.
A definite must-see! The final home of Leonardo da vinci. You can see how he lived, some of his paintings, sketches and models of his inventions. The most interesting part of the tour were seeing his inventions in models - some real life sized and some smaller. There is also a pigeonnerie, gardens and a play area with interactive games made out of his inventions. The restaurants seem to be full quite early in the day, so it'd be wise to book your table in advance if you want to Eat there.
The gardens are lovely and entertaining for the children. There's a pick-nick area in the garden with loads of shadow from big trees. Ideal on a hot day.
If you like him, must visit
Payed 16euros for entrance(adults) [students (11.50e), kids free, groups discounted] , and it seemed so expensive once we visited inside the house. The house itself is beautiful from the outside. Once we get in it was overcrowded, there wasn't that much to see and the private tour guides were kicking you out of the rooms like we hadn't pay.. Anywho once done with the house we passed to gardens and oh it was beautiful. The gardens are huge, filled with Leonardo's inventions and lovely to spend time walking.
