Very nice little cafe, I had an amazing burger and my companion had the oatmeal which was said to be lovely also. My coffee was very nice and came out fast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, no complaints from this happy traveler. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a lovely breakfast or lunch. A

Cute little place with good coffee but would like if they could ease up on the spice in the tumeric latte. The food was very nice i would definitely recommend people to go there .

Gratia cafe is as pleasant as the name suggests. Being a keen and active participant in the field of community service, fundraising and awareness of the importance of supporting social initiatives, I had been keen to visit here for a long while. Situated in Surry hills near a number of local shelters, it is situated perfectly for diners to really understand what they're contributing to. It is there to encourage compassion and understanding of others. What is remarkable in this financial driven world is that 100% of the profits are used to enact change. The pay wages, staff and then profits are 50% selected by staff and 50% selected by customers. You place a rubber ball in a jar and the money goes to different charities. On the counter we're some amazing brownies, friands and other cakes. We opted for dining in and sat outside, ordering a granola with yogurt, milk, rhubarb and poached pear. A lovely little dish. We also got the fried haloumi with poached eggs and salad. Accompanied with a cup of brewed tea and a cold brew. Great breakfast options and a lovely environment. Servings may seem a little small, but you can always get a sweet treat to go.

Great place for a Saturday morning brunch and coffee. The staff are kind and the food is pretty good! The service is a bit slow, but I often find a lot to get distracted with while I'm here. I like that the place is full of spirit.

Mighty Brown Mouse

a great social enterprise where disadvantaged youth are trained in hospitality as well as part of proceeds channeled to charitable organisations, it is in it's 3rd year, successfully run and managed, offering killer coffee and unusual edgy food. stop by when you are in the hood and support this great cafe.

The concept of the cafe is unique - all the profits go to the charity. The food is delicious, very fresh and healthy. The staff is friendly and helpful. 5

Great charity concept cafe with a quaint backyard seating area. Their halloumi croquette was quite nice with an add-on poached egg. Unfortunately the back corner seating of the backyard is right next to the restroom, and there was an strong appetite-killing toilet smell the whole time. Also you could see the dirty mop in display from the storage room. Such a shame the ambience of the place was kind of ruined by this.
