Having been a martial arts enthusiast and practitioner most of my life, I was on a mission to find the best instruction possible in the area when my son expressed interest in learning martial arts. After significant research and trials, I'm confident we have found the best at American TKD. Grandmaster Swaney teaches a comprehensive program that is challenging and fun. Students learn not only proper martial arts form but how to build integrity and respect for others. American TKD is a great place for students of all ages to raise their confidence and self-esteem while staying in shape and learning effective martial arts for self defense.

There is so much to say about American TKD. My son has been enrolled for the past two years and I have seen the positive impact it has taken in him. He is strong, confident, and respectable. The staff and the lessons being taught in American TKD are a blessing. Everyone in the facility is so friendly and helpful. I feel confident that American TKD is one of the best decisions I have made for my son. Thank you for caring for children as if they were your own. Parents looking for a peace of mind when your child is away from you....I can not stress enough...this is the right choice for you. The classes are interesting & different every time. From the first day self-defense techniques are taught & the Master explains what parts of the body to use to avoid injury & have the most impact. A great workout and learning experience!

This is the best traditional Taekwondo in all of south Florida is u ask me I say this because I’ve checked every other Taekwondo school around and this is the one school where I promise that you will get your moneys worth...plus the Gran masters here is a true Gran master who is trained in thee old traditional ways...the Grand master here compete around the world so that should tell you something...I highly recommend that anyone looking for a Taekwondo school should come to this school...also take is from me...I’m a prior service marine...what I get taught here is definitely the best even better and as good of what we military martial artist get taught

My child participates in the after school program for about 3 years now. Master Swaney is a good guy and loves his job! His enthusiasm is infectious and his staff is wonderful and truly love the kids. They get their homework done and get a daily workout so they are nice and tired when she gets home. Affordable and friendly, I highly recommend American TKD Martial Arts. My child's attitude and self esteem has greatly improved since she started.Her self defense skills are amazing, you wouldn't think an 11 year old can be so powerful, but they can.

I have been a member of American TKD martial arts for almost five years. They helped me become confident and strong both mentally and physically. I was bullied frequently in school and I had low self esteem but training in the martial arts and leadership program allowed me to unseal my true potential. I am able to achieve my goals such as graduating high school in the top 10% honor roll and recognition in leadership organization such as National Honor society. Instructors and team members pushed me to set the highest goal and I was accepted to one of the most prestigious school with scholarships. I am currently a freshman college student at Johnson and Wales university and a Dean's Lister. I always come back to American TKD eager to learn more and train with what I consider my second family. It is not just Master Swaney, instructors and staff who are nice but the students who have high values and respect for others.
