Had my wedding reception here and had a brilliant time. Alex and the staff did absolutely everything to make it special in spite of the Covid restrictions. They even let us bring a wedding cake and put up decorations. Couldn't have asked for more. Good food (especially the sticky toffee pudding!), great value for money, nice outside area and lovely hosts.

Went in April 2021 post-lockdown, very nice outside space, well organised staff, baby changing in the ladies toilets (with a basket of wipes, nappies- such a nice touch!). The kids play area was open. I had a delicious sausage sandwich and my friend had the house burger. Would definitely go again.

Alex and team are doing their damndest to get through all the restrictions. They keep the beer really well. The roast is fantastic. With the outdoor burner, even a rainy Saturday afternoon can become a pleasant experience.

If you have a visitor from abroad who wants to know what a British pub is, bring them here. It's the picture of a cosy, no frills, fantastic and deserved service British establishment. Delicious food, traditional ale and staff who make you feel like youre at home. EASILY the best pub in Bucks. Written by Adam Chowdry, 27

Plenty of outside seating under cover. Nice selection of cask ales. Large garden with children's play area. Cricket on the green opposite.
