The Cushman Market and Café is a local joint at heart, whose mission is to provide a comfortable and friendly place with a green ceiling for neighbors, kids and visitors to enjoy. The revamped café, outdoor patio and kick ass kitchen headed by chef Brigid Moore, have continued to make the place a local institution. Cushman is a great place to meet friends, have lunch meetings, work on WiFi, and save time by picking up great gift items, wine, beer or our mouth-watering all natural, oven roasted chickens. We are The Home of the JoJo and The Home of the Hobo and we serve a plethora of Egg-On-A-Roll options.

We now serve Shrubs and Switchels...what are Shrubs and Switchels?
"Shrubs are concentrates made from a combination of organic fruit, sugar, vinegar, and sometimes herbs. Switchel is similar, though it always contains lots of spicy ginger..

"LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS TREASURE: Cushman Market and Cafe, North Amherst, Massachusetts"
Found on Visiting New England online magazine. Come see our new art installation, Before I Die, a global art project that invites people to reflect on their lives and share their personal aspirations in public.
Before I Die has become a global participatory public art project that reimagines our relationship with death and with one another. The original wall was created on an abandoned house in New Orleans by artist Candy Chang after the death of someone she loved. Since then, over two thousand Before I Die walls have been created in over 70 countries around the world. Each wall is created by local residents who want to make a space in their community to restore perspective and share more with one another. Each wall is a tribute to living an examined life.
The original wall in New Orleans, Louisiana
Artist Candy Chang and writer James A. Reeves have developed this space to examine our common anxieties, contemplate mortality, and better understand what it means to be human. Check out the Props from the Boston Globe!
