Friendly and professional staff with great knowledge of their dishes and wine. Very good food. We started with the amuses, a melon-shrimp soup. Wouldn't have expected melon and shrimp to match but it was just lovely. Then we went for some oysters. They have 4 different kinds, especially the Geay and Gillardeau are very nice. You can order them per 6 or as an assorted platter. We ordered 2 glasses of Champagne to go with the Oysters. The Champagne per glass here is Bruno Paillard and was very nice. I would recommend this as a nice start of the evening. After this, we went for the Crème Brûlée of duck liver. It was accompanied with a brioche and some caramelized onions. It's just the tastiest dish ever. We had a New Zealand Pinot Noir to pair with it and I just loved the combination. Main course for me was the full lobster and my lady had the Noth Sea Sole. Both very nice as well. They're both accompanied with fries and a salad. For the main course we didn't know what wine to match with it. The nice lady let us try 3 different wines and we selected one of them. Just the best service! For desert I've had the Merengue. It's one of my favorite dishes and The WineKitchen at Sea did not disappoint. They recommended a Muscat to go with it, but I ordered a Sauterne to go along which was in my opinion a good choice. All in all we've had a lovely evening. The food and wine is superb and as said before, the service is very good too. 5/5 would recommend!

Some service details make you feel unwelcome. After ordering, we asked for a soup from the starter. We were told that we already ordered a soup from the main menu and we can order that one in double portion.... When the waitress took the dirty plates, she took the tea used paper and put it on the table in front of me, taking only the plate. Otherwise a standard service with good food, of course in the small and expensive format given the average prices. Such details are visible and feel customers to feel unwelcome on their own expense.

We have found this amazing restaurant by chance. And we liked it so much that we had dinner there two times. It's in Amstelveen, off the beaten path, not a touristic destination (which is always a better choice ). This is a cute, cozy and warm place, perfect for the fish and seafood lovers, a great choice for vegetarians as well. Fresh crabs, a really nice variety of oysters or traditional Dutch herrings prepared in their way (marinated with beetroot foam, absolutely must try) - everything was delicious. The staff is professional, they will assist you to make perfect food and wine pairing. The only flaw is that there is no Dutch wine - although the Netherlands is more famous for beer, I guess there's something to offer. However, we had an amazing gastronomic experience and we hope to come again sometimes.

One of the best fish restaurant I visited in the Netherlands. Location is charming and cozy, with an ample terrace. Service and owners are really friendly and efficient. Every dish is special, you can find all the classics but revisited with a modern/international swing. Dishes were all perfectly cooked, timed and we'll presented! Selection of wines is also great. Can't say anything bad really, just expect an amazing slow meal and enjoy!

Good & friendly service upon a much too early entrance. Food is fantastic for a sea food lover. There is a meat option though. The restaurant itself has a very pleasant ambience, in spite of the open kitchen. The wines suggested accompanied the sea food very well. The daily menu can be altered to ones tastes. Have to come back to try the oysters.
