The place is a bit small but nice. The service is good and waitresses very nice. I took udon with carry, carrots and fried pork (it was supposed to be with fried chicken but they ran out of it). The udon are home made and indeed they tasted good. What I didn't like very much was the consistency of the broth, a bit too dense for my taste, and the curry was covering other flavors too much. The pork was very tasty tho. Overall, it was not a bad experience but it was not a Wow moment either.

Yummy homemade udon noodles accompanied with slice beef or tempura prawn. Tempura is crispy fried with super thin batter. Super yummy and well done.

Fou Fow was a great find in Amsterdam. The udon tastes exactly like in japan. I will come back.

Ordered food from Fou Fow via ubereats, half of the order was missing (1x curry katsu udon,3x onsen takago, and 1x gyoza). Driver seemed to have taken food out of the bags, which were torn, seal was missing from Fou Fow. Restaurant denied any responsabilty or support to solve with uber. Seemed to be our fault and Fou Fow decided to ignore the concerns and deny any involvement.

Great noodle place. The texture is the right balance between chewy and soft. The flavours are good and balanced though not as intense as i expected. Seems a little toned down to fit the local palatte. Still delicious. The places is quirky and the staff is great.

I went to Fou Fow Udon for dinner with a friend today. The restaurant doesn't accept reservations, so we tried our luck at 18:30 and there were plenty of seats available so we could walk right in and seat ourselves. (They also had a waitlist stuck on the side of the door in case you had to wait for a seat). We ordered 3 entrées and 2 udons and this was more than enough. The waitress was prompt with taking our orders and our food came relatively quickly. However, towards the end of the evening when the restaurant was getting packed, we had to wait a while before we could settle our bill. The ebi tempura and spinach tasted great, as did the gyoza. However the gyoza was served with the dumplings placed on the dipping sauce, so we had to eat them fast before they became soggy. I ordered the cold udon. The noodles were a little bit tougher than I personally prefer, but that is probably to be expected from a cold dish. The sesame sauce (which you pour directly on the noodles) was not as flavourful as I would have liked, but I may have sabotaged myself by ordering the spinach (where the sesame flavour of the sauce was very strong). On the whole, I enjoyed my experience dinning at Fou Fow Udon and would definitely come again.

Lovely traditional Udon, very tasty and very well prepared. Ate Zaru (Cold) Udon and it was delicious! Recommend to anyone needing a good udon fix! Lovely waitress too who treated us very well :)
