Tara was such an integral part of my birthing experience!! She was both grounding and uplifting. I had an at home birth that lasted a long time; I was so grateful for her fresh, revitalizing energy. She had great suggestions for various positions to try, provided excellent massage and her encouragement was exactly what I needed to persevere. I will always remember her presence at my son’s birth

Tara is amazing! Having Tara with us during labor and delivery was priceless! She is so supportive of whatever your choices are during birth. She helped to keep both my husband and I calm and relaxed during l&d and helped us to have a smooth birthing experience. If we were to have another child, we would definitely want to have Tara as our doula again!

Tara Daystar was my doula for my first birthing experience 11/7/16, but our relationship started far before that. With multiple one-on-one sessions countless text/email exchanges discussing any and every question I had about pregnancy, birthing, nursing, and parenting, I went into the process feeling very confident and supported. Tara was wonderfully helpful during my long labor (she was by my side for over 24 hours, and available via phone for hours before that), and always allowed and encouraged space for my growing family to connect with each other on our own as well. I think the thing that most makes Tara stand out is that she approached the process in terms of our entire family -- my husband met with her and completed prep work for labor/delivery alongside me. That made it feel like a real team effort and reminded us that we each had a role to play in guiding us towards our next steps as a family.
Tara was such a wonderful source of information and support during my pregnancy and birth and also during my postpartum phase. She gave my husband and I information about birthing and was flexible with us during my high risk pregnancy. During my birth, she helped guide me and relieve some pain associated with labor. She kept me informed and encouraged throughout the entire process. When I had difficulty nursing in the first couple of weeks, she was very helpful and provided me with a great book that addressed some of my problems. I'm so glad Tara was there through this beautiful process. She was kind, caring, professional, and infinitely helpful. I highly suggest her to anyone looking for a doula!! Update: I decided to use Tara again in my second birth and I can honestly say that I am not sure what I would have done without her. She was integraWhat I did not expect was my need for her in the few hours AFTER baby was born. I had some complications after the birth. She was there to help get my son skin to skin with my husband and worked with my nurses to keep me informed and calm while we figured out what was wrong. All while preserving those precious first couple hours with baby. Thank you Tara, a million times over!!!!
Tara is fabulous! She assisted with my second birth, so we went with the "Experienced Mama" package. I noticed a big difference between Tara and another doula we had for my first birth -- Tara had a deep emphasis on preparation & education in the weeks leading up to my due date. I thought I had a birthplan -- just dig out the one from before! -- but Tara worked with me to show that the words I had used on paper did not match what I had articulated to her in conversation. She was also great about connecting me to resources on breastfeeding and pumping at work -- two things that had not gone smoothly with my first child. I felt very supported and cared of not just during childbirth, but for the weeks leading up to it and the first few weeks of baby coming home and getting settled. Thank you, Tara!
