We’ve been traveling an entire week in Italy experiencing food that is always above average Or very good. But this has got to be the worst cooked food in our order of spaghetti mussels and seafood risotto with ginger. Mussels not the freshest as it was mushy. Same goes for the prawns in the risotto. Risotto cooking seemed rushed or perhaps not the best quality and overly salty. Service was also poor and slow. Reminders on our requests. The senior lady at the back of the counter also forgot our watermelon order. Avoid at all costs. Go for a slice of pizza down the road instead.

A fantastic plethora of Italian delicacies! While you decide what to get your friends and family, grab lunch upstairs and enjoy the wine selection. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

This is really the best you can get in Ancona. You could either take it home or eat on the streets.

Eating in Italy is hit or miss. I love coming to Italy - the people are absolutely lovely and the country side, sea side (Baltic and Adriatic Coasts) are gorgeous. One thing that seems to be hit or miss is finding the right restaurant that serves home made style dishes that are not overpriced. In Milan, Venice, Turino, Cinque Terre, Florence and Cortina d’Ampezzo I had to work really hard to find the right spot. Not in Ancona. After walking past Bonta Dele Marche I knew the food would be awesome. The locals shops here, eats here — it must be delicious. I ordered the traditional baccala, farro salad and octopus salad and was in heaven. The shop boy recommended a nice local sparkling wine that was perfect for all the dishes. I found myself relishing each bite, tasting the sweetness of the carrots and celeries. I wished I had more days in Ancona after discovering Bonta Della Marche. The big bonus: after dinner you can shop for olive oil, pasta, chocolate, limoncello, prosciutto, cheese and so much more. Service was attentive without being overwhelming. I highly recommend Bonta Della Marche
