Several years ago my mom attempted to adopt a sweet mix beagle from here. They claim dog was in excellent health. It had been treated by their Vet. Two days after getting Peaches home it cost her 600. the dog was critically ill. Would not get an animal from them, they lie on health issues.

First and foremost, I’m thankful that this shelter exists as a no kill shelter. The people who work there love animals and it shows. I took my puppy to get shots and it was freezing outside. Every single person that helped in the parking lot was so nice and it was evident that they held a genuine love for animals. I felt confident handing off my puppy and to be in their care. Thank you for everything you all do!!

May 18th 2019 we adopted our sweet torte calico Cali (formerly named Easter). This was actually her birthday which was neat to adopt her on her birthday. She came to the shelter about 1 week before we took her home. They were having an adoption weekend event at Pet Finder & we just knew she was the perfect kitty. She's doing so good, very spoiled & loves her big cat tree tower, scratching posts, toys & loves watching the deer, birds, squirrels & other animals through the large windows where we placed her tower. She loves curling up with us & has been a great addition to our family. We strongly support Angels of Assisi & encourage you to think about them if considering adoption.
