I've been volunteering here on the weekends for a couple of months now. While there isn't much that I can do, I really enjoy the opportunity to help out the animals, and the people there. It's mostly just getting to walk the dogs, and play with them. It's a large space with a lot of dogs of various sizes in kennels of various sizes. The dogs undergoing treatment are kept in a separate room, inside kennels. When you need to talk to someone there, you will have to step outside because the dogs will see you and bark at you to get your attention. I'm sure they're all looking for a home where they'll feel loved and appreciated. If anyone reading this wants to go volunteer, try calling. If they don't answer, you could go there to talk to someone about what time work for you and the shelter. And do let them know a day or two in advance if you're going, helps keep them some tasks out for you. Also, there are lots of dogs there. Please be don't expect it to smell like flowers. It's an animal shelter, not a rose garden.

Wonderful staff who truly looks out for what’s best for all the animals that come through their doors. They can tell you the background and stories of every single animal! Would highly recommend.

These people were so very nice! They were there to help when we needed it. Our family member had a situation where they needed to re-home a dog with special medical challenges and Animal Rescue Fund of MS was willing to assist without hesitation. They gave their word that their animals don't just go to any old home either, but they have great adoption standards. If you have to re-home an animal or want to adopt one, you can count on these folks to have the animal's best interest at heart! Thank y'all so very much!!!
Very helpful, very polite, definitely would recommend for any pet that you can no longer take care of.
