They all work very hard here to provide support and care for our Veterans. The site is sprawling and has advanced technology installed. They intake desks are not fully automated but the individuals manning them are expert and caring. They provide adequate and accurate directions. The layout of the buildings is a little strange. It seems like it was built over time in sections which might explain it. The building is modern and looks attractive. Parking is a little odd as well but for visitors it is easy to deal with, especially if there is inclement weather when the overflow parking might be open.

Been attempting to go here for years. The nurses and other staff are amazing folks, Dr kapour is ridiculous. Went to get a document signed by her for a job that could change my life and she wouldn't look at it, allow me to print it, or attempt to get it from the company or me to fill it out. One piece of paper that asks about why I was medically retired and if those issues are resolved She refused to even look at it. Unbelievable

The location in Ann Arbor is head & shoulders above the Detroit location. Veterans are treated with respect and dignity.

Negligence and indifference define this hospital. They follow a standard of care that's motivated by dollar signs. I've had doctors here straight up tell they won't prescribe medication specifically for my diseases because \the VA won't pay for that.\ The doctors here are doctor-oriented, not patient-oriented; they also lack or deny any holistic or integrative health perspectives, which means they only can offer what they perceive as \evidence based\ healthcare (i.e., big pharma funded data). Anti-depressants are the order of the day if they can get away using it to treat EVERYTHING. Some of the doctors here will pathologize or demonize veterans (in general but also) if they want to be an active participant in their healthcare. And, if you ask for a more holistic or integrative health option in the community, they will deny it, claiming they have the treatments that will help you.

The endo unit is the gold standard for what a department should be.
