Everytime I go which ever staff member is serving me, must enjoy there job as always very happy and helpful, and if they can not give you a answer to your question they will sure go get you a answer.. Great selection of timbers. Not the dearest and not the cheapest but good quality

Absolutely brilliant service from all at Anthony Axfords especially Nick who went above and beyond to help and assist. Their safety measures make sure everyone is safe and still get the outstanding service that Axfords always do.
The man who served me couldn't have been more helpful. He told me the timber I wanted wasn't usually available in the 3 metre lengths I asked for as it might break. He asked me why it needed to be that long and when I told him it would make the job easier for me he asked me to wait and he would see what he could do. Five minutes later he was back with the timber in the lengths I wanted. Few minutes earlier what I wanted wasn't available and although he didn't say so my guess is he cut a larger piece into the sections I wanted. No fuss, just simple customer service. If you're not a tradesmen or not entirely sure of what you want trade counters can quite intimidating places but Axfords couldn't be more different. All staff are helpful and friendly. A workable (and covered) social distancing arrangement to keep customers safe has been set up and while I was waiting for my timber staff members twice came to the gate to check no one was waiting to be served. Finally, Axfords prices are exceptional. I'm quite sure the retail park DIY supermarkets (you know the ones) could buy their timber from Axfords and still make a handsome profit!
