After a lot of shopping around for a leather couch and love seat we decided on buying LazyBoy from Rahey's in Antigonish. We choose a floor model since it takes forever during Covid to have one made and shipped. Bill was courteous and did his best to see we were satisfied. Tips for prospective buyers. If it says "Floor Model- one only", that is what you are getting, so it is up to you to inspect the item very carefully and take photos, You are buying it in the condition it is in, while on the floor in the store. Also inspect it very carefully before it enters your home during delivery. Also make sure you know the difference between 100% BONDED leather (which will peel off in layers in a few years) and the real 100% leather. All in all we are very satisfied with Rahey's and Lazy Boy.

If anyone is looking to purchase furniture or appliances, I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere. I ordered a stand alone freezer for my parents to be delivered to their home with a guarantee before Christmas from the manager of the Antigonish location. It’s been 1.5 months and still haven’t received one phone call or email to why it is still in limbo. I have reached out a number of times but get the same “it will be in, in two day” reply. I even had one of the receptionists advise me to phone head office and file a complaint about the manager of the Antigonish location as this is a “typical occurrence”. Extremely disappointing and frustrating.

I will NEVER set foot in this hole EVER again. We used to buy everything there. Appliances. Furniture. Until the staff (mostly the arrogant manager with little big man syndrome) ripped my parents off on a 2,000 living room set. Bought it off the floor. Told there was 1 year warranty. A month later when the garbage he sold them started to peel. There was no warranty. He was impossible to deal with after the sale. Didn't care about anything but himself. He's a lair. And a thief. Our new 3 level home was furnished from The Brick. He lost about 12 families business because of the incident. I'd love to see someday that this place has gone under. Or this weasel was fired. I can deal with being ripped off. But when you rip my parents off it's a different story!
