Dave serviced my Janome in less than one week. Excellent service and very responsive to my request for a larger thumb screw for my Babylock. He is also an excellent teacher - he was very thorough in teaching a class (pre-COVID) on how to clean and oil a Featherweight machine. Prices are very reasobable.

David atTwice Nice Sewing Machine Restorations is one of those business that will soon be gone if we don't support through patronage. The axion \they don't make them like they used to\ applies to these shops and the products they service and support. Sewing machines are increasingly becoming a disposable item. Packed with computer driven features that make so many options easier to access. Built with light weight plastics and metals the new models will not last the test of time and use. Thankfully there are still some shops like TwiceNice Sewing Machine Restoration and skilled servicemen like David, these shops keep the well built and dependable Sewing Machines, like my 50 year old Kenmore Model 2142 ( a wedding gift from Nana Jo ) in good working order. This machine, with the help of this shop will continue to provide service for another 50 years. In all honesty I did not have any interaction with the business other than a delightful and very informative conversation about my 50 year old sewing machine. David talked me through the possible issues with my machine and guided me to resolving them. I was considering buying a new machine, but after our conversation I decide to repair this older work horse and keep it and pass it on the the next generation. Its a fine example of American craftsmanship and Like David it will continue to serve as long s I continue to use its service. You know what? I will take my sewing machine to the shop for service.

A dedicated multigenerational business that loves what they do. The very best for Featherweight machines for both parts and service. They can repair almost any featherweight and use and sell vintage parts (at lower prices than a better known online store). The reproduction parts and accessories they sell truly fit and work properly. When they have both, they explain the pros and cons of each and treat the customer's decision with respect. They've also developed their own useful accessories.
