Piles of trash in the courtyard and a dead mouse rotting at the front door. Apartment advertised as non-smoker but extremely smoky. It took Customer service almost 1,5 Hours to call back, by that time we had moved to a nearby Hotel. Was hard to leave though as the buzzer for the front Gate was broken. Even though we stayed for less than an hour, they refused to give a refund. Cannot recommend.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd regarding the response: since I have to walk through the courtyard, it is part of the apartment. If you don‘t feel responsible, that‘s not my fault. The apartment was smelly and your cleaning staff must have noticed that, so that’s your fault as well. No hotel would rent out a smoky room to a family with small kids. And your offer with s 2 bedroom apartment (which we didn‘t need) came only 1,5 Hours after we first called to complain, by that time we had already left since we didn‘t know if we would be called back at all. I gave you ample opportunity to find a better solution in the aftermath, so this is on you.

despite its great location, this flat has many faults first of all there is no lift, and I had to spend my stays climbing 5 flights of stairs every time I get back from outside. there was a dumbwaiter to move heavy shopping to your floor but it only starts at the second floor and doesn't always work. the apartment itself was horribly equipped. no frying, no fans, dead mosquitos everywhere on the walls, stained sheets on the sofa bed, mattress of the sofa bed was bent and extremely squeaky. the worst part was that when we tried to call customer service several times, they did not answer despite that it was meant to be a open line, 24/7. After we sent an email about out lack of equipment, we were told that they would come round to bring the frying pan (and ignored the plea for the fans) yet they never came, even until 4 days later when we came to leave. also, even though we came an hour and a half after check in, we came to find people still cleaning the apartment. we were told to leave and come back in half an hour. we came back and found the dishwasher running. being very tired and hungry from travelling, we were not even able to have something to eat or even have a simple cup of coffee. over all, the stay was extremely disappointing and I will definitely not return to this accommodation on my next trip to Antwerp.

Location is good very close to the city sites and restaurants. Facilities were adequate with the apartment cleanliness being of a high standard. We stayed on the 5th floor which requires taking six flights of stairs "no elevator" something not mentioned at time of booking. I would not recommend this for the older traveller.

Geboekt voor een week in augustus en destijds moeten annuleren vanwege code oranje (COVID-19) in Antwerpen. Mijn annulering was ruim voor de gestelde termijn, maar SmartFlats heeft toch het geld (gehele huur voor een week) afgeschreven. Vijf maanden later heb ik het nog altijd niet terug ontvangen. Ze hadden wat meer tijd nodig zeiden ze, maar vijf maanden wachten lijkt me toch wat veel... Waardeloos!
