I enjoyed the wooden escalators as well as the many historic pictures on the sides. Also the tiles telling you how many meters you've walked. Just a pity I wasn't there at night. The view on the city from the opposite side of the centre was a treat, since you do not get many opportunities otherwise to have one. Definitely worth walking the tunnel when in Antwerp.

A surprisingly interesting tunnel. There is something magic and something psychodelic in this place. Hard to describe in words - you need to feel it yourself.

The voetgangerstunnel was built many years ago to serve as a connection between Linkeroever and Antwerp to cross the Schelde river. I adore everything about it. The wooden escalators with the old Antwerp pictures on the side but also the huge industrial elevator. If you have a camera, take it and come here. You can make some very nice pictures here, espescially black and white!

Fast way to get across the river. Nice spot for pictures as well, just watch out for the bikes.

Must-see. It feels amazing to know that you're walking under water. Everything gives to the atmosphere, the staircase, the old tile-walls, and I especially appreciate the use of tunnel lights for representation and decorative effects. I was especially lucky to visit it during pride month.

Wow! Just one of the most amazing tunnels I have seen. The elevators where nice and old, and the stairs remind me of something from world war 1/2, because it is! It was complitely enyoing to ride the tunnel

Very interesting passage under the river. To get there, we go down two escalators or in case we are cycling it is an elevator. Tunnel expulsion to be infinitely long, from the map it appears that it has some 570 m. Walk goes almost six minutes, then again two escalators up or lift. On the other side of the river you can look at Antwerp

Nice tunnel with a history. Place where you can actually walk under water to reach the other side of the city Antwerp. Very well maintained spot which is definitely worth a visit.
