Worst restaurant experience Let me start off by saying my husband and I are food lovers and bloggers. Unfortunately the experience we had at Jeanty’s probably tops the list of worst restaurant service. We waited almost 2 hours for our mains to be served (after we had our entree) and as we only have the afternoon and evening to spend in Antwerp Belgium on our honeymoon, we enquired politely if it’s normal for food to be served at this pace. The younger waitress is very polite and friendly but before she could answer us, one of the older waitresses stopped her abruptly in a foreign language. Then we were left still waiting for our mains for what seems like another 20 minutes, the older waitress re-appeared and came standing really close to me and as I began to accept she couldn’t speak English, she told me in a loud voice that “this is not fast food restaurant” and that’s why at almost 4pm the lunch we ordered is still not served. Interestingly enough shortly after, the mains and dessert for both my husband and I were brought out at lightening fast speed (at fast food restaurant speed). I understand that the restaurant may be short staffed on New Year’s Day and would appreciate if we were told so, as opposed to being brushed aside and made feel terrible for spending almost 70 and hoping that our food will be brought out sooner than the 2 hour timeframe. My husband even asked me to wait some more even though we had been waiting for hours. I feel very sorry for the owner of the restaurant to have such poorly spoken staff waiting the table and who has and will no doubt continue to ruin an otherwise pleasant food experience for all unless something is done by management. I feel I need to write this review to reflect what actually happens at the restaurant and give a heads up to any potential customer who is willing enough to wait for hours before they can be served.

I was there on New Years Eve with my boyfriend, and we were very disappointed (or better I say angry). First we arrive and they didn't have our reserve (We were lucky that wasn't full). We start and was good, but then from the starter to the main dish, we wait almost one hour (btw, we had to have a soup between that but they didn't serve it, and they known because they saw our spoons were still there clean). After the main dish we had to wait again so long for the desert, but of course when we ask for the bill it was so fast. The 68 p.p. worse weisted in my life in a restaurant.
Very fancy restaurant, very good food.

friendly good value if you book the social menu for 25euro in advance
It looks a little cheap from the decor perspective, but the food was good (meat dishes especially, fish was a little overdone - but not too much). We were a company of 5, thus tasted quite a variety.
