We were building a new home and Ellen took our ideas, room measurements and probably spent hours creating drawings of each room from top down, full front and even side ways to produce a wonderful rendering of what each room would look like. She had loads of ideas and suggestions to make things flow better. She was very prompt in all of her correspondence with us and kept us up to date with the plans, shipment, installation and tweaking. Plus she has the patience of a saint in tweaking our plans to make our new house the home of our dreams. Not only can she put a kitchen together, she created our master bathroom, powder room, guest room and even the laundry room. I wholeheartedly recommend Ellen and would not hesitate to work with her again if the need arise.

Ellen consulted on designs with us in detail to prepare our house for sale. We no longer live there and worked with her over the phone and email. She was wonderful! Responsive, detailed, and accommodating. While we got lucky and negotiated the closing costs over upgrading with Ellen, we were ever so grateful for her help. When my husband and I were trying to make some decisions about remodeling our kitchen, Ellen came by and drew up plans/gave us an estimate on installing new cabinets. Once we realized this was going to be out of our budget, she talked with us about the idea of updating the kitchen by refinishing the cabinets since they were in pretty good condition, just dated. She put us in contact with Mark and Charles of Custom Cabinets and Finishing. They did an AWESOME job of refinishing and glazing our kitchen cabinets, building a new handcrafted island, and turning our kitchen desk area into a beautiful piece of furniture. Ellen helped coordinate the project and handled all the logistics. Charles and Mark were wonderful to work with and were very conscious of keeping our kitchen functional during the whole process. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Ellen, as well as Charles and Mark, for any cabinet or kitchen remodeling project.
My wife and I met with several companies to determine how to refinish and upgrade our kitchen. From the start Ellen and the rest of her team made it an easy decision to use them for the project. They did an amazing job helping us select the cabinet colors and new trim to spice up the kitchen. The end result was amazing. One of the best investments we have made.
We are so pleased with the work done by Ellen, The Cabinet Lady, and her painter Mark, carpenter Charles, and the others who worked on their crew. Ellen showed us several examples of their work and our project came out exactly as we expected. Mark and Charles did a great job with the painting and the custom cabinet work. Everyone worked according to schedule and they cleaned up everyday to minimize the disturbance in our kitchen. We highly recommend The Cabinet Lady for repainting kitchen cabinets and custom cabinet work.
Ellen and her team were great to work with. They refinished both my kitchen and bath cabinets and gave them new life. The savings as opposed to replacing the entire cabinets could not have made me happier and now they look as good as new. Thanks Ellen!
When I think back to how dreary our kitchen was before we worked with Ellen Brotzman, I am just so grateful that we had her expertise in designing our beautiful new kitchen. One of the things that I liked best about working with Ellen is the very careful layouts she drew for us on her software. The layouts and the sketches helped us to precisely envision the alternatives we discussed with her. It's one thing to talk about a concept, and quite another to see it drawn up within the walls of your existing room. Ellen is great with the details - she often asked us to consider a type of drawer, rack, closet placement, etc. that we hadn't thought of. She respected our wishes for watching costs where possible.
