I had an accident in 2019. I required surgery, physical therapy and a 1800 device that was to \help\ with my range of motion. The surgeon did a great job on my surgery. The surgeon was informative and understanding but unfortunately when my care was turned over to the physical therapist all things went wrong. At that time, there was only one physical therapist at Wake Orthopedics who could provide the therapy I needed. This was and still is today the worst decision. I did what I was told to do: Several exercises at home 3 times a day. I used the device a half hour 3 times a day. On top of that, I was going to Wake Orthopedics physical therapy 3 days a week. The 1800 device did absolutely nothing to help with my range of motion. This device gave me other hefty physical issues that I'm still dealing with everyday. The passing of my care to this therapist was huge error the surgeon made. The therapist with outdated knowledge, deflating and with no empathy. Due to the poor care I received from Wake Orthopedics, I had to start over again away from Wake Ortho with a new set of surgeons and a new physical therapist. It is one of the best decisions I have made. My new physical therapist saved me.

If you need a hand Doctor, Dr. Luther is the person to see. Aside from being technically skilled, his interpersonal skills make appointments and surgery days a calm, happy experience. He is fantastic with children and it's obvious that he loves his job. All of the surgery support staff from x-ray technicians to nurses to the OT have also been great to work with. The x-ray technician even sat down with my 10-year-old while he was waiting at his first appointment to answer his questions about x-ray technology.

I went to Dr. Gentry because I was suffering with pain in my left leg. I could hardly walk and I couldn't stand for more than a second. It's been 4 months since Dr. Gentry performed surgery on my back and I feel absolutely wonderful. No pain any where. I am enjoying life again.
