Conveniently located in the historic Moot Hall right in the middle of the main street. The two ladies were very friendly and knowledgeable and gave me all the information I needed to enjoy my short visit to Appleby. Plenty of leaflets about local events and places of interest, plus a little gallery with some nice pottery, glassware, scarves and other gifts/souvenirs.

Alison, in the TIC, is the most charismatic and helpful person you could ever wish to meet There were 3 of us, all visiting Appleby because our name is Appleby, and she couldn't have been more helpful. She made our trip very special. There's lots of information to be had about Eden Valley and surrounding areas, trips, days out etc. Lots of gifts and souvenirs on sale too. The little building that houses the TIC, Moot Hall, is also a very ancient building and worth a visit. If you're lucky and the Mayor of Appleby is there, you can sometimes get a guided visit of Moot Hall if your name's Appleby, and you also get to sign the Visitors' Book along with Applebys from all over the world. Thank you Alison

Brilliant. My wife and I organised a weekend reunion in the nearby Tufton Arms Hotel and the TIC were very helpful. Lovely friendly staff who were a mine of information and had some great suggestions. Great range of leaflets, books and information on the surrounding area and gifts and souvenirs.

Nice and friendly staff, and a nice place to visit. I travelled with my husky and was welcomed and allowed in all the places I visited. (The castle and a few pubs).
