About the inn : My stay at the inn was very pleasant. The room is spacious and equipped with a TV, fridge and microwave. But the best feature according to me is its windows showing a gorgeous winter wonderland. I was equally mesmerized by snow flurries and dazzling sunshine. It is a great place to bask in nature. About the food : Delicious Indian dishes stole the show. Freshly prepared, they had the warmth of home-cooked meals. And vegetarian options were readily available for all meal types. Come for the food, stay for the mood.

It's rustic, very clean, tv don't work. But it's just an over night stay. Friendly management. The bathrooms are brand new, window view out to the back is gorgeous. Next time I come up, I'm absolutely trying the food. I will definitely be back again.
For the price, the customer service is not there. Stayed 2 nights and they had cream in the fridge but no coffee/tea, had to pay for it. There was garbage in the cabinets under the sink. The room was a decent size hence the extra star.
Breakfast here was probably one of, if not, the best breakfast that I've had in quite some time, and the owner was very friendly and eager to please. That being said, the mattress in the room was a bit stiff for my liking, and the bathroom could have used just a little bit of extra attention for cleaning. If you are staying here in the winter, just be aware that it is frequented by snowmobilers, (such as myself - the reason for my visit) and you could end up being woken up by a snowmobiler or two getting back late at night. Overall a good experience.

The website said 87/night, so we called because no one in Bancroft had anything available. When we spoke to the owner, he said he would get a room ready for us. When we arrived, we decided to stay for 2 nights, thinking it was 87. After he rang it in, the total came to 260. I questioned it and all he said was he doesnt jack the prices up like other people. Pretty sure family members stay in the rooms until they need to be rented. The room was filfthy! Big stain on comforter, chair in room was disgusting, baby finger prints on the mirror, splattered food on the wall, towels were yellow, and the back of the door was black around the door knob. When i complained, all the owner wanted to do was give us our money back. Thought they would have offered to clean the spots i told him about. Very friendly owners but felt they could have done more to satisfy the customers. Even a discount would have been nice. Too bad i couldnt upload pictures that i took to show the dirt. Forgot to mention, when we called he said he had a room with 2 beds, the room we got had one bed. The pictures of the rooms on the website look very different than they actually are. The pictures are very outdated.
