It is a very small museum with objects found in Inca mummies. It is interesting and the visit is very short, max one hour. The guide is compulsory and a tip is required at the end. I had the student ticket which was 10 soles but I should say that the normal ticket 20 soles is overrated taking in considerarion that you have to tip also the guide.

Well worth the visit! I am ashamed to admit I had no idea they had found so much evidence of sacrifices, including these mummies! Beautifully preserved and displayed with respect. The tour was given in English and was very informative, they also play a short film for you at the beginning about the discovery of the bodies. A little sobering but fascinating. No photos allowed and I’m pretty sure the entry fee was really decent, they also give a student discount.

Incredible museum and very interesting story about Juanita, the frozen maiden from the times of Incan sacrifices. Includes a 20 minute video in English/French/German and a guided tour explaining the discoveries of the sacrifice rituals. A bit spooky to see the preserved frozen body at the end of the tour though

Quite a small museum set in a courtyard. Guided tours conducted by local students, in selected languages, including good English. The rooms of maps, photos and exhibits lead up to the display of the mummy of a 14 year old girl, which was found on top of the volcano. Lots of good artefacts and stories on Inca times. There is a video which explains the story of her finding.

Interesting but small museum with artifacts pertaining to the sacrifice of children to the mountain gods by the Inca priests in the 1500s. The highlight is a mummified frozen girl of 14 or so which they have named Juanita. Plan on spending an hour here, including a video about the 1995 expedition that discovered these remains on the top of an active volcano.

Amazing museum with authentic pieces of history !! It's incredible to be able to see the mummy in great condition. The guide was passionate and it was really interesting. It's fascinating to be able to see original objects so I don't understand people complaining about the low light or the ban of taking pictures when it is essential to preserve these objects

Can see the real mummy and watch the movie of inca's history. Recommend to visit here

Don’t expect much here and you won’t be disappointed. Be prepared for a poor quality but interesting video (1996). Definitely take the tour guide as otherwise you just walk through quickly. The tour was really interesting and our guide explained a lot about history and culture. Get a sense for the spirituality and why Juanita is who she is. Pretty amazing to witness.
