Absolutely loved the place! Right from the ambiance to the amazing food and not to mention the craft beer. I had a smoked porter which is prosit one of the better beers I've ever had. I had a portion of ribs with the golden sauce and it was so good that I had to ask for another one. Virgil was a great host and really friendly to talk to.

Delicious, peaceful, friendly, good service, amazing overall all for a really good price! The location is good, close to the main square in Arequipa, a short walk alway. The staff are very attentive, friendly, happy to recommend and share an obvious passion for the food and drink they produce. The environment is relaxed, but also smart. A very traditional local, with typical building. This is an amazing place for a quick coffee or beer, a quick bite, or a full meal. Prices are good for the service and food you receive. A family run business with all the meat smoked in-house and locally sourced beers. Highly recommend for locals and tourists, both English and Spanish are spoken here. Don’t look any further, take the advice, and make your way down, you’ll be welcomed and leave satisfied.
Great place for meat lovers with a complement cocktail offering too. Price is very fair fire what you get; bring an appetite! Various smoked meat dishes available around the S/ 20 mark, and cocktails (with a smoky twist) for similar, which are both delicious. Reasonably priced desserts are also on offer. It seems to be slightly erratic with keeping to its opening hours, however, so be warned. The staff could also be slightly more attentive.
Best coffee and breakfast bagels in town...and I also recommend highly to try one of the hand made burger!
Great place for food. Portion size is great for what you pay, and it's tastes great too. Service was awesome, the place itself is cute and quaint. Perfect for if you don't want to pay the more expensive prices next to the cathedral but the food is just as good if not better. Would definitely recommend while you are in Arequipa!!
You will never have a better cup of coffee! The meat is painstakingly prepared - as in smoked for 14 hours - and is well worth the visit. They care about their food and it shows; they follow super strict cleanliness rules and it is safe to eat the lettuce and tomatoes, though I highly recommend anything smoked, especially the ribs!
AMAZING food - truly among the very best in Arequipa, and even Peru. They make pork products: bacon (the best in Peru), chorizo, pulled pork sandwiches, sausage, ribs, ham. They also sell hamburgers (both prepared and frozen) and pastrami. They usually have a BBQ special on the weekends, and they're from Texas, as am I, so you know their BBQ is good. I don't say that lightly. They go for quality. They also sell coffee. They roast their own beans (sourced from Peru) and sell bags of that, as well as cold brew coffee that you can drink in their shop. Every roast is done in small batches. Seriously, if you like coffee, give them a try. It's amazing magic. They want to eventually expand the hours they're open to the public, but right now, just on Friday and Saturday. You won't regret a visit to Pork and Bean!
Would give it 5 stars but they are barely ever open.
