I had an opportunity to meet with Shawn Bryar about my tinnitus. While there is no cure or real \treatment\ he took the time to discuss the mechanics of it and answer all my questions. He was kind, caring and knowledgeable and gave me some great ideas to manage my tinnitus. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend the Arlington Hearing Center.

If you have any concerns about your hearing, please DO go see Sandra Romano. She's terrific. When I saw her, I had a so-called \cross-over\ aid for my right ear that just transmitted sound to my left ear. Confusing? Very. And worse than useless. Having tested my hearing, she said that was all wrong. While my right ear was my worst, I did have some hearing -- so I should have independent aids for BOTH ears. I was willing to be persuaded. On first trying them, I complained about all the static coming from my right ear. She took me into a soundproof booth -- \Do you hear it now?\ No. \That's what you are hearing from your right ear.\ I had to get used to it. That incredible loud ticking noise in the car on the way home? Oh, the turn indicator. After a multi-year lapse, I resumed my French lessons! I can hear again! Makes a world of difference in sorting out French vowel sounds! Losing hearing is tough on marriages and relationships, can lead to increased social isolation, and even increased risk of dementia. Don't miss out. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and go see her. (P.S. Sandra herself has some loss of hearing. She gets it. She really does.)

I have been a patient of Dr. Romano's for 7-8 years and I'm still using my second pair of hearing aids. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Romano. Her skills, as an audiologist, are truly superb. I've never received any type of treatment other than the best. My hearing aids work consistently and if there is any question, Dr. Romano always provides adequate care. And, as for Dr. Romano, herself, she's attentive, hard working, and, always upbeat. I can't say enough good about her and I wouldn't think of changing to any other doctor. Mary Scanlon As for the staff, always pleasant and willing to provide assistance.

After years of denial of hearing issues, I visited the Center. I was very impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency of the staff and Dr. Romano. Dr. Romano did a thorough hearing exam and completely explained the results and made recommendations for hearing aids. I have complete confidence in her recommendations, and highly recommend Dr. Romano and the Arlington Hearing Center!

I'm grateful for the three years I've been going to Arlington Hearing Center for help with hearing aids. Dr. Romano is an excellent audiologist, personable, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. She has done a fine job of lining me up with appropriate hearing aids and several of my friends have similarly expressed appreciation for their experience with both Dr. Romano and her staff. Her office is punctual, well managed, and staffed by convivial and efficient professionals.
