This station needs some BIG changes! Befour you renew the platform's soil, how about you get some Screens (with Real-Time Schedules) on ALL platforms? Intead I have to listen to some guy saying which train comes next. Those speakers are so loud and not understandable and when another train arrives and breaks, you can't hear anything at all. When I need to switch trains, I have to basically get off the platform , move to the nearest and the ONLY undergroung Screen (on all the 5 platforms there are) and inform myself, because the guy talking in the mic didn't help anything at all. So if I'm in platform 3 and my correspondance is in platform 2, I basically moved up and down for nothing because they're literally the same platform. Mind if I add: where are the elevators?? Do I need to move up and down with a 20kg suitcase? What about people with mobility issues?? Also, they don't seem to understand the difference between a \Correspondance\ and a local train. When I came all the way from Brussels to Arlon, and you tell me we have a correspondance from Arlon to Luxembourg, I expect a train that goes DIRECTLY to Luxembourg in max 20minutes! I don't want to sit in a local train that takes 40min. and stops in every station (Kleinbettingen, etc). The Station in so outdated. So many things are wrong and everytime I get anxiety. 5 platforms (which are not enough), in crowded days everything is messy. Upcoming trains have to wait 10 to 15min befour they can arrive to the platform, because every platform in occupied by other trains. People get confused. And everything could be much more easy if there was only a better organisation.. The only positive point? The main building and it's architecture.
Small train station with basic amenities. The churches in the town are quite magnificent. The museum is not worth the money.
One of the worst customer service I have received. The guy at the window was very rude. The train had a technical problem on the way to luxembourg and I had to change it for a bus, which I understand, but I found out about it because I heard people talking about it. When I asked the guy at the window where the bus stop was, he told me : \ ask somebody\. Really?!
Fine if i didnt' have to wait to long for the train connection and ther is no elevator or electric stairs no handicap access to the platforms !!!!!
Very basic belgian trainstation
