30 years my wife and I have been policy holders... untill recently. After receiving a call from a regional manager encouraging us to update our policies to a newer one we ran into a complication with our billing. My wife's plan payment had been applied to my policy, an error on AFBA's part that has happened occasionally in the past... but this time my wife recieved a cancellation notification in spite of her on time call to post the payment correctly. Her follow up call was met with the requirement to submit medical information.... She did, and inspite of her excellent health she was denied coverage. She is an RN with medical knowledge that allowed her to recognize that their excuse for rejecting her was inappropriate. In my opinion the policy 'decision' was a veiled attempt to deny her renewal, that shouldn't have even been at issue in the 1st place. So much for 30 years of payments.... not even a return phone call. I do not recommend them.
