In the heart of Bucharest located not to far by Victoriei square there is this little gem. Impressive collection of art (paintings and sculptures) all in a solemn house.

A small, but charming museum containing mostly paintings by Romanian artists, with some foreign impressionist painters as well. The collection is lovely as is the house which hosts the museum.

Although it is a small museum you can admire a lot of paintings and sculptures. The architecture of the house is also very beautiful.

It is a gem of a Museum. If you like art you should visit it at any time. You will find romanian art from the last two centuries and also french art by: Bonnard, Matisse, Cézanne, Derain, Renoir, Pissarro, Picasso, Sisley, Corot, Delacroix. Yes. For real. I was also amazed. It is worth all 5 stars

In the middle of one of the most beautiful residential zone of Bucarest, between Piata Dorobantilor, romanian Television area, and boulevard Aviatorilor, the Zambaccian Museum is a wonderful discovery for painting and sculpture lovers. The bigest romanian painters and sculptors of the 19th and 20th centuries are present, in the magnificent and well preserved architectural Zambaccian villa... he was a great romanian 'mecena', so we discovered paintings of Grigorescu, Luchian, Tonitza, Baba, Andreescu, Aman, and others, impressive. But also, a litle surprisingly, several Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Picasso....whoaw. We were walking in the environments, when we 'fell' on the museum and decided to enter. Wonderful atmosphere, calm, really inspiring visit, an encounter with the best romanian and european art of the 19th and 20th centuries... just take a look
