It is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Coimbatore and one of its most famous landmarks. I remember the very first time I went to this temple some 20 years back and I've been going here on and off with my family relatives alike. A good place for an evening darshan to go with your family and relatives. A clam place where you can meditate and find inner peace and be with yourself and collect your thoughts and sit in solace. It is a grand temple dedicated to Shiva located at Perur, in the western part of Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The pillars inside the temple depict Tamil sculptors' architectural prowess. There is wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Your vehicles ️️ have to be parked ️ outside in the sun ️ and rain ️️️️️ as there is no covered parking area near the temple. There is, of course, ample parking ️ space near the temple. It is clearly visible from inside your vehicle and is on the side on the main road. There isn't any likelihood that you would miss the temple as it is at the main junction from where you will be going onwards to other places.

Serene atmosphere. Very nice temple for Lord Shiva, one of the oldest temple at Coimbatore. The granite statues and curving are mind blowing. You have to see each statues minutely and enjoy the workmanship of our stone craftsman who are having a long tradition more than five thousand years.

The temple is one of the oldest temple in India. It is located in the outskirts of Coimbatore. It has bus facility from Coimbatore. You can see the Tamarind tree in front of the temple , which is very old and sacred one . You can see the pachchainayaki and natarajar also. To know the proper history of this Perur Patteeswarar temple. It is one of the most ancient temples in India. It was not built by cheras who were actually dominating this region. But was built by the great Karikaala Cholan in the 2nd Century. It is believed that the Korakkar siddhaa who is one among the 18 siddhas meditated here on Lord muruga. What's more special here is, it is the only place where Lord Muruga is present facing West side. And hence it is so special for devotees who pray for marriage and child. And of course it is one of the most ancient and important temples of Lord Shiva. To all the locals out there who haven't visited here you are missing great ancient architecture and sculptures. And also who visit coimbatore don't forget to keep this temple in your checklist.
