He's a great teacher, I have been his student for about 2 years and I have learned so much from him. He loves music and is passionate about teaching. He always tries to get you a little bit out of your comfort zone to improve your skills and make you a better musician. I would recommend him for anyone that is a pro or is just starting out. He's an awesome dude that wants to see you succeed

Gene Crout, owner and instructor at Arvada Guitar, has been doing bass and guitar lessons for myself and my 9 year old son for about a year. He is absolutely amazing, works with both adults and kids, has a degree in music, and maintains a wonderful balance of technique and passion. My son started out learning bass and the lessons were so effective and fun that I started taking them as well! A few months ago my son decided to pick up the guitar too and Gene already has him successfully playing barre chords. His style of instruction has a way of making things “click” when it comes to translating notes on a page to music in your hands, and his enthusiasm for his students’ success is such a positive breath of fresh air. I cannot say enough good things about Gene and Arvada Guitar...if you are looking for high quality instruction at a reasonable price, definitely give them a call!
Gene Crout at Arvada guitar is a very good teacher and guitar player. He lets the player learn and teach at there own speed with guidance, he teaches everything clearly and concisely. All In all, you will get your money’s worth of becoming better at base or guitar.
I started playing guitar as an adult, which can be a challenge. Gene has made the process so much fun! He's a patient teacher and his methods have taken me from a complete beginner (having never picked up a guitar) to playing songs that I know and love in just a few months. He's very knowledgable about music and enthusiastic about his student's success. I highly recommend Arvada Guitar!
